Daripada perbincangan di bab-bab sebelumnya, dapatlah dirumuskan bahawa kajian ini telah memberi satu gambaran kukuh akan kejayaan pelaksanaan amalan 5S di Majlis Bandaraya Alor Setar kerana tahap pelaksanaanya mencapai 94% serta dimensi prestasi jabatan yang mendapat kesan atas pelaksanaan amalan 5S ini ialah kualiti dan produktiviti serta Bahagian One Stop Centre dan Jabatan Penilaian Pengurusan Harta senang dalam melaksanakan amalan 5S manakala Bahagian Undang-Undang sukar dalam melaksanakan amalan 5S. Hasil kajian ini mengambarkan adalah tepat keputusan pengurusan untuk melaksanakan amalan 5S ini kerana ia memberi kesan positif kepada prestasi jabatan terutamanya berkenaan hal kualiti dan produktiviti serta kecekapan ditempat kerja. Sebagai penutup kajian ini dilihat sejajar dan menyokong beberapa kajian empirikal sebelum ini yang menyatakan, pelaksanaan 5S didapati memberi impak peningkatan produktiviti kepada organisasi serta tahap kecekapan dan ketepatan pekerja juga didapati meningkat (Kanojiya 2021). Menurut Ukey, Deshmukh and Arora (2022) pelaksanaan alatan lean seperti 5S telah dapat menambahkan produktiviti syarikat dan organisasi dapat meningkatkan tahap kecekapan pengeluaran syarikat. Amalan 5S juga adalah satu amalan yang mudah, praktikal, kos rendah dan merupakan

amalan pengurusan yang cekap kearah peningkatan ketara persekitaran kerja dan produktiviti (Freitas et al. 2021), Keberkesanan teknik pelaksanaan 5S boleh meningkatkan prestasi dalam banyak syarikat (O’hEocha 2000). Amalan 5S juga telah membuktikan dapat meningkatkan produktiviti kerja kerana kerja yang dilakukan dengan lebih berkesan, pantas dan beban kerja dapat diringankan (Yusuf and Irwanti 2021) Selain dari itu pembolehubah peranan pengurusan ditambah sebagai pembolehubah bebas kerana kepimpinan organisasi merupakan satu faktor paling penting dalam berperanan menerajui pelaksanaan 5S didalam sesuatu organisasi (Hutchins 2006; Taleghani 2010). Penggunaan konsep amalan 5S dalam organisasi merupakan satu cara pengurusan berkualiti secara menyeluruh dan boleh memberi impak ke arah penambahbaikan organisasi secara keseluruhannya (Ghodrati and Zulkifli 2013a). 5S dilihat memberi keberkesanan dalam meningkatkan produktiviti serta kualiti kerja dan memberikan keselesaan diruang penyimpanan (B.

Mehta and Y. Dave 2020). Pelaksanaan amalan 5S didapati memberikan impak positif ketas peningkatan produktiviti dan kualiti kerja kakitangan serta motivasi moral (Razali, Libasin, and Jaafar 2020).
