1 . Discuss various experiments which have been conducted in order to teach human language to non-human primates. You may discuss your answer by referring to studies done on Washoe, Lara, Sarah and Nim Chimpsky. What conclusions can you draw from such studies?

2. Discuss the neuroantomical structures of the language areas of the brain and the neural pathways that are involved in speech production, reading aloud and speech comprehension.

3. Discuss the issue of

`Lack of Invariance'

in speech perception and factors that contribute to the absence of invariance in the speech signal.
